I am a crafter, sewer, pianist, geek. I have been sewing in earnest since Christmas 2011, when I pieced together a lap quilt for a gift for friends. After tears brought on by diving head-first into piecing a lap quilt that I had only roughly planned out (in my head) (which resulted in changing plans, looking for more fabric, and wondering why anyone in their right mind enjoyed this kind of activity), I later decided to create a queen-sized quilt to go on the guest bed that would match the décor in my toddler’s bedroom. I did it all from scratch, and fell in love with the process and the outcome. Since then, I’ve been sewing skirts, baby quilts and fitted sheets, quilts, and bags. And this blog exists to help document my journey, and, where possible, give back to the blogging community that is rich with tutorials and advice for crafters of all varieties and at all levels.
